Pros Fastest processor available for mobile phones fast and zippy performance with no lag whatsoever.
Sturdy and water proof this phone is built to last
Sony interface has much less clutter and redundancy that the other android OEMS
It looks good
Cons The only con here there are phones out there with better display quality (doesn't mean that this phones screen is not good its just not the best)
Summary As someone that owns both the galaxy S4 and the Nexus 5 I disagree with your rating. The difference between the snapdragon 600 and 800 is huge the S4 has a lot of lag due to its slower pprocessor, it might have a better screen then the experia but that does not make it a better overall value, the nexus 5 on the other hand is very fast and zippy, but the phone built quality is teribble mine was broken after 2 weeks and repairs are very expensive just do a quick Google search NEXUS SCREEN BREAK and you'll see for yourself. What a terrible job by Sony they took the amazing android and rendered it almost useless its the most capricious operating skin I've seen so far. Its a shame as the hardware is great. Returning this phone asap and will gladly pay the restocking fee
Most of us that buy expensive phones put them into a case therefore the fact that the phones back panel is glass and attracts finger prints is irelavent.
In conclusion the the experia z1 seems to have more value then the aforementioned phones, so far i had an amazing experience with this phone its a great phone. I'll post more after I'm using the phone for a month.

Pros - Waterproof and dust proof
- Takes incredible photo/video (especially underwater)
- Sony's custom Android UI is close to stock and customizable
- Fast processor
- Expandable storage
- Dedicated camera button
- Beautiful design
- Easy to clean
Cons - The bottom facing speaker isn't stereo and can sound 'tinny'
- All glass means that if you don't have a case, it collects fingerprints really, really quickly
- The flaps can get annoying (until you buy a magnetic charger)
Summary I've had the X1S for over a month now and I've had an extremely positive experience with it. My last phone was the Nexus 5, before that a Galaxy S3 (running Cyanogenmod) and my wife has an iPhone 5S. So those are the phones I have to compare against this one and I'd have to say that the Xperia Z1S is my favorite phone of the bunch.
Not only is the processing power on par (in terms of speed) with any other flagship phone I've ever seen, the camera is phenomenal! Photo quality is great and the underwater photos I've been able to take have been truly stunning. Same with the video.
Sony's custom Android UI is very minimal and while they don't go out of their way to enhance the Android experience, they don't do anything to hinder it either. I much prefer their UI to TouchWiz, and in some ways, I even like it more than Stock Android (though I do miss KitKat from my Nexus 5).
A definite winner in my books, the Sony Xperia Z1S combines power with elegant design and a camera that can't be beat.
Pros I have two of these purchased from GSM Nation .The CNET review is BS. I cannot believe that CNET gets paid by Samsung for these reviews. I had a Samsung Galaxy S4 before and the Xperia is much much better. The display is awesome.
Cons None that I can think of.Samsung why don't you really create a comparable phone to this Z1 that looks as good and works the same, instead of bribes to auditors? I am glad I got rid of my S4.
Summary Don't believe the CNET biased reviews. Try this phone out.
Pros Waterproof (sort of)
Cons Sony skin is so bad I GLADLY paid the $150 restock fee to return 3 of my phones after 2 days.
Buy the Google Play Z1 version only!
Summary -Front camera horrible. Deal breaker especially if you use Snap Chat.
-The alternate menu (3 dots) in random place depending on app/function.
-You can't specify alert sound just for SMS. (buy and try before nay saying)Confused when an app system alerts me.
-Skin being white background washes out chk boxes so hard to see settings until you press.
-Hard to turn off alarm compared to others.
-Pokey performance for camera and other Sony apps.
-Display just not that good for a flagship device.
-Fm radio takes minutes to fully operate.
-Can't load Cyanogenmod due to locked boot loader.
I can go on but I think you get the drift as to how craptacular this phone is.
Please live with the phone like I did before you nay say.
