    "DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    Cons: too many to say

    Summary: TracFone has the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. Don't waste your money! I've tried for the last 18 days to start up my service. I've had no luck. The company has given me 4 different numbers, in the wrong area codes. They have sent me another SIM card, that is not compatible in my area. They said that they would send me a second SIM card, LAST WEEK, I called today and I was told that the SIM card was canceled. I am absolutely aggravated and I feel extremely ripped off! I gave them money, so that I could have a cell phone. They did not come through with service. They love to give you the run around and put you on hold, repeatedly, for 2-3 minutes at a time. They love to say, I need to update my supervisor. They also love to tell you that they will call you back in 24-48 hours and (not) surprisingly the don't call you back. When they ask me what I want, I tell them get the service to work or give me back my money. They say we are not allowed to give back your money. So, you can see how I would feel RIPPED OFF! They also like to put you on hold, forever, and then wonder why you are so upset. PLEASE be warned, this is the absolute worst customer service that I've ever run in to in my life.

    Believe me, I feel your pain. Their customer service department should legally be require to have a different name, like "customer torture" or "customer, F**K YOU," lol.

    I wish I had read your review before I volunteered to help a friend with a TracFone. The first one was lost and I was told by TracFone to report it as stolen so it was made inactive. This turned out to be a mistake on my part. I should have just waited until I got the new phone and transferred the minutes to the new one. Now, with a new phone, I cannot get service. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. I have a hearing problem so all the maams, my first name, and I will put you on hold dah dah dah....wastes time and is frustrating to try to understand. Keep it short and simple, please. Unnecessary words or phrases that are repeated over and over get bothersome. The last rep told me the supervisor said for me to wait 72 hours for the Fone to become activated. I even received an email that everything was checked and should be in operation. I wonder if TracFone ever reads the reviews. Thanks for a place to vent.

    I had no problem with them for three years until 4/2009. It was the perfect company to get phone activated. Then this yr, I tried to change the area code and transfer minutes, and went through three phones that didn't work. I have three phones and 1000 minutes and nothing works. None of the codes they gave me worked. This went on for 1-1/2 weeks. They claim they don't refund minutes, but I sent a complaint to FCC and the Attorney General. I'm out $160 and they better give me my money back.

    Only wish I had read your review before I was trapped by these people. Spent hours with the robots in India they call customer service trying to get 3 replacement phones (LG600) to work, requested a refund and you got it, 'sorry, we don't refund your purchased minutes even if we can't get you a phone that works!'

    Have you ever tried Verizon? If you ever have a billing problem, even if they caused it, you are sunk. I know from sad experience.
