The Bottom Line Lacking in features and suffering from shaky performance, the UTStarcom CDM-8945 is a disappointment on multiple levels, but it's mostly a lack of value for the money. For a few dollars less, you can get a more feature-rich EV-DO phone from Verizon. The LG V8300 is a well-designed and high-performing EV-DO phone for Verizon Wireless. The Verizon Wireless XV6800 comes with most everything a power business user will need from a smartphone, but its less-than-stellar call quality gives the Samsung SCH-i760 the slight edge. Despite its lack of high speed data connection, the Verizon Wireless Blitz is a great phone for messaging fanatics. The Verizon Wireless CDM8975 is a decent push-to-talk phone with good midtier features.
