The Bottom Line	Lacking in features and suffering from shaky performance, the UTStarcom CDM-8945 is a disappointment on multiple levels, but it's mostly a lack of value for the money. For a few dollars less, you can get a more feature-rich EV-DO phone from Verizon.	The LG enV Touch's combination of great design and top-notch features makes it one of the top Verizon Wireless phones we've ever seen.	Despite some design issues and a couple of missing features, the Motorola Droid is the most powerful and fastest Google Android device to date. It fully embraces the openness of the Android platform and offers Verizon customers a smartphone that certainly rivals the other touch-screen devices on the market.	The Samsung Smooth is a basic-looking, budget-friendly phone with some compelling extras--it's a good option for Verizon customers who don't want to extend their contracts just to get a reasonable price on a new handset.	The Samsung Alias 2 is an inventive update to Samsung's previous messaging phone. Provided you can afford it, and learn how to use it, it's a powerful messaging device with reliable performance.
