"Poorly Designed" on by capt124
Pros: Easy to see screen
Cons: External button placement
Summary: Got this phone for my Mom (85 yrs old). Every time she picked up the phone to answer it, she would hit the volume bar on the side and turn off the ringer. This happened every day. After a few weeks, I returned to Verizon. I ended up buying a replacement battery for her old Samsung 650. Now she is happy and can hear her phone ringing.

"Bought it for my senior, technophobe husband, but phone was defective and poorly designed" on by abqsue
Pros: Large letters and numbers, decent quality sound
Cons: Outside display quit working, placement of volume key annoying
Summary: We have had Verizon for years and years and have been looking for a Verizon phone that was easy to use and designed with us seniors in mind (like the Jitterbug). We loved the large letters on the Coupe display and the sound quality is fine. However anytime we handle the phone to flip open or closed, we hit the volume key, which is very poorly placed and sensitive. In addition, the outer LCD died and we are getting a run-around about getting it fixed. Apparently because we bought from a private kiosk (but it was not labeled as non-Verizon-corporate), Verizon corporate takes no responsibility for the phone (or apparently for the customer service).

"Excellent no-frills phone with a few minor problems." on by stuestes
Pros: Small size; simple controls; easy-to-use menus; large buttons; easily-readable screen; no camera, browser or other unnecessary extras; good battery life; prominent emergency buttons; plenty of volume; dedicated buttons for speakerphone & 911.
Cons: Too easy to bump side-mounted volume & voice activation buttons; confusing placement of ICE buttons & control buttons.

"Avoid, good idea, bad execution." on by OntheCoast
Pros: display, battery life
Cons: Sound, Keys, side volume control,
Summary: Nice idea, a simple phone. BAD execution. The 911 key is next to the END key. Two older people I had try it could not keep their fingers off the side mounted volume controls. This made the ringer go low or to vibrate. Also, no volume when they needed the phone. Cannot use Backup Assistant. Sound quality is bad. Bring back the
LG VX3200, or 3450 and get rid of side mounted volume controls. Who is their target audience? While you're at it, make it send/receive better too. -
"Wold not by this phone again" on by ecolei
Pros: Decent size. The ICE keys are kinda handy for making quick calls
Cons: Horrible sound quallity, cheap construction, buttons on the side
Summary: I needed a phone for an internship without a camera and this was the only phone in stock.
The sound quality was marginal at best and the speaker phone is very garbled. The one thing I hate about the phone is its buttons on the side.
I keep my phones in my pocket and at random times times I would hear "please say a name or shortcut". The volume rocker is also super sensitive and the phone will not stay in vibrate mode if you put in your pocket
