"I found this to be a pretty good phone" on by JackiThomas
Pros: Sleek red color, thin design, clear sound, great great graphics
Cons: only one - not a flip phone
Summary: I must be the only one who likes this phone, i find it to be a great phone, i have had no problems with the camera, takes good pics for me. calls are very clear and precise. the ringtones i have downloaded are very clear and sound good. i love the color, style, design and rate this just as good as the L2.
I live in Boston so maybe better reception? i do not work for anyone associated to this phone, just a secretary in MASS. i love this phone and couldn't ask for more. maybe i got lucky with this one?
i rated this once but don't think it went thru??? -
"worst phone ever" on by patric627
Pros: slim, handles nicely
Cons: FREEZES UP - DESIGN FLAW
Summary: bought superslice to replace basic slice. started locking up, freezing. sometimes the screen would go all white/bright and stay that way, on it's own. other times while txting, just freezes up, no further action can be taken. both situations require removing battery and turning on again.
THIS HAPPENED ON TWO PHONES. returned the first and it happened all over again with new one.
this is a design flaw or a software flaw, i can't believe it is being sold, and this wasn't discovered in the first place.
happened to me with two phones in four days. amazing that they could build and test and sell this and not find this problem.
I SAY ABYSMAL BECAUSE THE PHONE SIMPLY BECOMES INOPERABLE, despite it's nice features -
"Freezy, Low Picture Quality..." on by Techon
Pros: Slim, Cute, Decent Sound
Cons: Bad Picture Quality, Freezes,
Summary: I love my super slice. It aggravates me though, that when I try to text grammatically, it will freeze up. The picture quality is horrible, as a photographer, the camera on this phone is so terrible, it's sad. I have gotten a few decent pictures out of it though. I love the size of the phone. I am not very fond of slide and flip phones, so this is great. I have learned to accept this phone despite it's imperfections, and I love it to death.

"High on stile, low on functionality" on by Kalte Sterne
Pros: thin, cute, sound not bad
Cons: Buggy software, Freezes, Difficult texting, horrible ringtones
Summary: The worst aspect of the Super Slice is that the software is full of bugs, and the menus are counterintuitive. But the freezes are the worst of the worst. As others have noted, the Super Slice freezes up when texting certain words. Mine froze, for example, every time I wrote "ain't." Go figure, maybe there's a hardcore grammarian in the phone. There is also an audible alert that beeps every minute or so when you have voicemail or a text message. A nice feature, but the only problem is that it doesn't go off on it's own, even after you check the message. To stop the beeping the phone must be turned off, then on again. There are a lot of other annoying little bugs in the software, but the aforementioned two are the worst.
I also take issue with the ringtones. Every single ringtone, except for one, was a generic and particularly annoying hip-hop sample. (One of these apparently samples a guy saying "Ritalin Rock" over and over again) Personally I prefer simple rings, and would have liked at more than one chose from.
Finally the buttons are very small and texting becomes a very difficult task. I am not accustomed to taking so much time writing a short txt msg.
Get this phone if you want something good looking and you just make phone calls. I have to admit I couldn't complain about the sound quality or the stylishness. -
"Freezes up!" on by pbjones8514
Pros: size, voice quality
Cons: software freezes up
Summary: I love using Virgin Mobile, but I have been wanting to upgrade to something with mobile email. I liked the size and look of the Superslice and I have found the voice quality and area of service fine. However, when using email, it freezes up very regularly. V/M tech support recommended doing a hard reset once a month would help, but I haven't found that to be the case. Sometimes I have to pull the battery out 3 or 4 times a day to restart it.I like the low cost and no contract requirements of V/M, But their higher content phones seem to really lacking.
