"Good Basic Phone." on by interdeck99

Pros: good screen size and clear display
    bluetooth
    memory card
keypad feel and layout(raised keys and not small)
    signal strength and quality
    good battery life

    Cons: no extended battery yet
    no custom leather cover yet
call quality is very slightly worse than my old vx7000(still good though)
one handed opening hard cause the phone's thin
only 30 sec of video even with mem card(might be a way to fix it)

Summary: My speakerphone works fine, but may not be loud enough for some people. I switched to the Verizon (PCD) CDM8950 from my LG VX7000. The camera picture quality is slightly worse but the video is better. Memory card function and bluetooth are definitely a bonus. I am not a cellphone geek or junkie. I use it for making and receiving calls, and occasionally snap a pic or take some video. This is a good phone for me. Signal strength seems as good as my old phone.
-Battery life with default setting and 2-3 bar 1x reception was 8days 17hrs
-Battery life with 1x only enabled 2-3 bar reception 9days 8hrs.

To access the phones service menu enter ##program(send) then zero's for the code. Go to IS-95/1x/1xEV-DO menu.
-hybrid_pref menu allows you to switch between (hybrid)-allows the phone to simultaneously use 1x(voice and data), and EV(high speed data only), and (non-hybrid) the phone will be in EV mode instandby and 1x in talk. SETTING PHONE TO NON-HYBRID WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO RECEIVE PHONE CALLS IN STANDBY MODE. only data!!
-pref_mode menu allows you to switch between CDMA(1x data and voice) and HDR(EV)data only). Setting to CDMA will automatically turn off EV reception capabilities and can extend battery life.
--EV(HDR) is high speed data only. If you don't download alot use CDMA(1x) only.

    "Good Phone" on by mudslinger83

Pros: reception, battery life, music player, excellent call quality, speaker on front

    Cons: speakerphone could be better,

Summary: i traded my vx8360 for this phone, i like it, i like the plain style of the phone, just wish i could get it in red, the call quality is excellent, to me its better than most phones ive had...battery life is pretty good for normal talk and text, but using v cast drains the battery as usual, music player is pretty good speaker is really clear, but could be a little louder, reception is on par with the lg and samsung phones...im not really sure what brand PCD is...i guess its kinda like utstarcom so i took a gamble and im not disappointed, just a couple of things that aint the best is speakerphone and the flip is a little weak but its not that big a deal...its a good phone and i recommend it.

"Nothing special in any way." on by ezekiel4272

Pros: Small enough to fit into a cell phone pocket on my chef pants or in my cargo shorts.

Cons: The camera is nothing special. In fact, the poor quality of it makes it not even worth taking pictures most of the time. A flash might have improved this. All-in-all a nothing special device.

Summary: Free doesn't make up for a phone you want to get rid of in 6 months. Drop the $50 or more on a better phone. The only saying applies here "You get what you pay for". In this instance I paid nothing and got nothing in return.

"Don't get this phone if you want to answer/make calls." on by ekinder

    Pros: Nice display

Cons: I got 3 of these, and all users had dropped calls, poor reception, and calls going straight to voicemail. The phone was being used in places where I had perfect reception with my old Razor, so it must have been the new phone's poor quality.

"Basic Phone - Annoying to Use" on by canofbutter

Pros: Fairly simple interface, nice thin design.

Cons: No quick way to lock the phone (have to go through a minimum of 11 key presses to lock the phone). Which is even more important since the external buttons are WAY to easy to press in one's pocket - which can take pictures, play music, etc.

Summary: Wish there was an easier way to lock the phone - every other phone I've ever had could be locked by holding # - for this phone that toggles vibrate - useless feature. It was free for me with a 2yr contract, so I can't complain too much, but now I'm stuck with a phone that takes about 300 pictures of the inside of my pocket every day and onto which I can't have any MP3s loaded, since they'd otherwise start playing at random times. Absolutely the worst phone I've ever owned solely because of this.
