"TV on your phone does come in handy" on by myth90045

Pros: Clear picture, no lag, enjoyable to watch

    Cons: Need more channels.

Summary: Ive been using the mobile tv from Verizon for about 2 weeks now. I just got it for the Wow factor, but I find that I am using it more and more often than the music player. I'll watch a few episodes at work during down time. Waiting in line at costco, i was watching some tv, albeit kind of choppy while in the store. Last Sunday my nephew was watching Nick while we were waiting for our food at some restaurant. This thing comes in handy. I just wish that it will get more channels. There is only some much MTV and ESPN i can watch.

"It's a great toy" on by GADGETMUTT

    Pros: Video, Sound (with headphones)

    Cons: Needs more channels

Summary: I just recently bought the LG Voyager with the $25 V cast package and I'm amazed at how excellent the video quality is. I can even read the captions at the botton of the screen. I would hope as this technology evolves, there will be more channels added (at least one fron each network) and at a price not to exceed $50 per month because even though I shelled out $300 for the phone and $150 per month for my celluar services, including V cast, I am a cheapskate who doesn't want to go broke just to watch tv on my phone. Also this is a novelty item and after the "new toy smell" wears off, I probably won't watch it half as much as I do now but it is very handy and the reception is unbelievable. The sound is great with headphones although quite distracting in public places because the volume doesn't go low enough to hear what's going on around you. I wouldn't recommend V cast for every cell phone because most of the screens are just to small to stare at for more than 5 minutes but PDAs and phones like my Voyager are well designed for this feature.

"Great Concept--Needs Improvement" on by voyager24

Pros: I love the idea of getting live TV on my new phone--when I can get it it's exciting to be able to catch up with the latest news when I'm away from home. And my friends are very impressed with my new gadget!

Cons: The coverage in my area (Pittsburgh, PA) is still very spotty. I can get a reliable signal in only two places--my home, where I already have cable TV--and work. Everywhere else, it's hit or miss, and forget it if I travel more than 10 miles.

"More areas covered, love my phone tv!" on by tsheff1969

    Pros: TV on the go
no buffering, just lie regular tv
calls still come through during programs
use bluetooth stereo headset to keep it private!

Cons: Does not have all live tv (would love to see Days of our Lives on NBC!)

Summary: I love my 'tv' but would prefer to see regularly broadcast shows more often.

    Updated on Dec 9, 2008

It now works in Albany, NY area (the tv icon popped up). I started using it here on 12/09/08.

"Incredible picture, but needs more channels and shows." on by mattsupp

Pros: Mobile TV has incredible picture, especially for a mobile phone.

Cons: Really lame programming. Comedy Central plays the same stuff over and over again, and there are not enough channels. Where's the Family Guy? Also needs more coverage.

Summary: Mobile TV is very helpful when commuting by train, car or bus, or when waiting for a flight, but I found the service go in and out in my house and around my house even though it says I am covered online, and it has bad programming, ESPECIALLY on weekends.
