"excellent value!-for the money and with no contract service--gotta love it-" on by vincent marcellino

Pros: best looking-easiest texting-super ringtone quality!

Cons: earpiece sound could/should be louder-weird battery life display

Summary: so far the oystr-big old and clunky has by far the best sound of any virgin phone--BUT-the arc is faster(soft resistance free buttons on the flat keyboard) lighter and even easier to text with which is a primary need of mine.it looks a little like the flare when you first light it up but-
the sound quality is better than the flare-no lg static!- but nowhere near the kyocera level.
the arc is light and damned good looking for the fashion conscious or just plain vain:)-and i like the way it feels too-soft and easy to hold-
speaker is ok-not great but certainly not poor
for the money you can't beat it-so buy it and enjoy the same quality you get in much more expensive phones for only 50 bucks!

"Pairs Up Great With My Subaru's Hands-Free" on by Right_Wild

Pros: Pairs up with my 2008 Subaru Impreza's hands-free BT, as well as a Plantronics Explorer 370 headset. Easy to read display, bright with good contrast.

Cons: Low-quality camera, won't let me upload my contacts list to the Subaru (VM crippled the OPP like usual). Can't get at the photos without going through MyPix (that's the crippled OPP too).

Summary: For 50 bucks, a damn good phone. I'm not a heavy phone user, so contract plans are not for me. It works with the hands-free BT in the car, and that was the biggie for me.

"so far its the best" on by mudslinger83

Pros: exceptional reception, looks, sound quality, camera

    Cons: none so far

Summary: i just received this phone today from virgin mobile...and it is to me by far the best phone to date that virgin mobile has put out...ive had almost all of their phones and kyocera has been the best of all for reception and lg and samsung bein the worst but this phone out does them all...i have been using the cyclops for a long time and there was not anything about that phone i didnt like but the utstarcom arc has just retired it...it has excellent sound quality both voice and ringtone...but speakerphone could be louder...i cant comment on bluetooth cause i aint used it yet but im sure it will be alright...but if you want a excellent phone from virgin mobile then get one

"Nice Features. But just an average phone." on by mbabbe

    Pros: - Voice Command
    - Blue Tooth
    - Decent Screens (internal and external)

Cons: - Too many keystrokes to turn on phone's blue tooth.
    - Average call quality (not as good as cyclops)
    - Account Balance feature doesn't work.

Summary: If you don't use your phone too much, it's a nice choice that you won't be embarrassed to be seen in public with. It has a nice set of features and battery life is respectable (at least with the new battery). The camera makes for a nice looking contact list, but the camera isn't much good for more than that.

On the down side, it looks like there is no shortcut to activating the bluetooth headset. You have to do it from deep inside the menu structure, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a bluetooth headset.

Call quality is so-so. The cyclops had better reception, which I returned it because VM refused to give me my promised rebate. But really, I don't use the phone too much (more use it for receiving text messages) so I can live with the occasional lost word.

I got it on Black Friday for only $20. And for $5/month, it's a great deal.

"the arc is a phenomonal cellphone" on by bba101

Pros: the pros it has everything good, for the camera phone to the bluetooth

technologies, overall this is a great phone so go get one can i say this please

if you all are reading this don't get a lame tracphone or net10 they are sorry

Cons: with mi, i can't complain like everyone else about the arc, because it's has all nice

features to mi, but the only thing i have to say is i just wished it came in the color

blue, and if you all need a good phone get a virgin mobile arc

Summary: the reason why i like this phone, is because for the price it has a nice affordable

price for the features it offers, as well as it's style and design it has

over all, its a good phone for mi, and i thank god,and jesus for allowing mi to make

a good decision in buying this phone, with virgin mobile you rule
