The Bottom Line The Virgin Mobile Shuttle is fast, sleek, and affordable, making it one of the most attractive handsets for Virgin Mobile customers. The Kyocera X-tc brings a fresh update to Virgin Mobile's line of basic messaging cell phones, but there are some minor design and navigation issues. The Samsung Mantra offers a user-friendly phone with functional features, though its overall performance could be better. The Samsung Slash is a decent entry-level phone with a few extra features that put it just above a basic handset. The LG Rumor2 is a great option for a messaging phone, but LG missed the opportunity to make it both new and improved.
