"Excellen basic phone and answering machine"
Pros: Plenty loud speaker phone, ergonomic handset design, techie blue lighting
Cons: Answering machine setup takes getting used to
Summary: i read a few of opinions on the web for this phone and wanted to try it for myself. didn't see any of the issues other people had with the screen - the blue is very cool and techie, the keypad backlighting is a big plus at night. the speakerphone is one of the best features because it's really loud at the highest setting so when the kids are yelling in the background i can still hear, unlike the panasonic i used to have which sounds muffled. i like how the phone feels in my hand - the rounded design is comfortable in my hands. i also noticed that my wife can talk longer with this phone than our panasonic, but maybe because it's a fresh battery.
the only thing i didn't like was the answering machine where i had to look for the buttons to set date & time (on the back of the answering machine). i did move the phone around but it didn't lose my pre-recorded message or the time like the other user said.
overall i would say this phone is very good for what i wanted for: make calls.
