"dont buy this phone"
Pros: overall good features;
Cons: E9 -> phone dead after 1yr
Summary: This is my second panasonic cordless phone the earlier one i had it for 6yrs and no problems;
This ****** phone died on me early jan 07, i bought it in June 04; it died with an E9 error,Panasonic said this is because of voltage surge, i don't believe them, i had tons of other electronics hooked to power supply that time,what a bunch of liars.
when I connect it to AC mains all LED's blink and nothing works, its a worthless POS now,
Tried calling panasonic USA, no help since its outta warranty, they gave me 2 options either ship it to TX and get it replaced with a refurbished for 80 bucks or take it to an authorized service agent; i live in a remote village that hardly has a walmart, so the nearest service center is 110 miles, i took it to radioshack, they know squat about this phone
now, i'm looking for a base so that i can hookup the handset to it. good luck with that!!
for those of you who are looking here for opinion
1. honestly its a great phone with lots of cool features and easy menu's and a very clear reception.
2. It has a horrible battery life; i bought a energizer from eaby for 10bucks and it worked fantastic;
3. the 2.4ghz range is not so great
honestly, i recommend don't buy this model, go for a better one
