"Would not recommend"
Pros: Nice to look at
Cons: Poor batteries poor customer service
Summary: I purchased this phone in July 2004 and the batteries started going July 2005. I called Panasonic CS, waited forever, talked with some call center agent in the Philippines and was told that a) I need new batteries because the shelf life is only for a year and b) that I needed to wait until the batteries were completely drained before putting the phone back on the cradle to charge, which of course means the phone is unusable while charging. Well I bought 2 batteries for a total of $31 put them in, waited 15 hours!!!!, but they would not charge, called customer service, waited another eternity, talked to another call-center agent somewhere who could not do a thing. I finally got a complaint number, called and talked with a guy who authorized a replacement for me. On around July 6th or 7th I sent my existing phones to Texas and 2 weeks latter I received two replacements (base and remote handset and base charger and remote charger). I put the batteries in waited 15 hours still no charge on the batteries. I again called CS, again waited, again talked to a CS agent who again could not help me. I ordered another set of batteries, they would not charge so I again called the complaint number. They authorized a repair on the replacements that was July 22nd, 2005, it is now August 26th and I still do not have my phones back. The repair center, PSI electronics in Paramus NJ, keeps telling me every week they will have the phones next week but still no phones. I'm about to buy new phones. Not only do I not recommend this phone I do not recommend anything from Panasonic because of their poor customer service. I just talked to yet another CS rep and they are going to follow-up with PSI but they won't reimburse me for the crappy batteries I was told to buy and didn't need and that don't work. What a headache
