Pros Sleek phone design & size
Comfortable at your ear
Easy to read & use buttons
3 phones w/chargers that hold phones well (no wobbling/falling)
Great range & no interference
Easy to read lit display
Wonderful speaker phone rang
Cons No clip (belt) for hands-free talking.
Poor redial button design(minimum of 3 steps before you are dialing).
A better design would be if TALK & OFF buttons were on 1st row.
Summary The quality of these phones are much better than I expected! They seem sturdy & well built. Years ago we had a V-Tech & it didn't even compare to the Panasonic we replaced it with. We are die-hard Panasonic cordless phone lovers, but we used our credit card rewards program to get this phone set for no out of pocket cost. We are pleasantly surprised! It looks great, feels comfortable & works well.
One of the main reviews complained about the sound quality, we don't see what they are talking about. Yes, it is a bit tinny (could use some base), but it is clear & we have no difficulty understanding the caller id voice, anyone that calls & they say we sound great. I would say the sound is crystal clear & might be able to use a little base.
I listed the redial button as a con, because it takes more steps than the typical phone to call someone back. Yes, you are not limited to the last number dialed, you can select from the ones you have dialed, so I may grow to enjoy this but so far it is annoying. And not offering the clip/belt clip (Panasonic & At&t's always offer it) lures people to cordless headset, for $50 extra. The clip is a cheaper way to do same thing!
I use the speaker phone a lot & I am thrilled at it's range. The person on the other end of the phone can hear me loud & clear, quite far away & I can hear them. Great busy parent feature!! I am also in love w/the push-to-talk feature. Now I don't have to yell to get my kids to come in from the other room or stop what I am doing. Again another busy parent feature!! Great time & voice saver.
Overall we are really enjoying these phones & wishing we had made the conversion back to V-Tech sooner!!
Pros Has 3 phones with individual charges.
Talking caller id works well.
Wireless range is great.
No interference from the wifi network or microwave.
Buttons are easy to read and use.
Big LCD screen makes it easy to read.
Cons Sound quality is poor.
Summary I had a cheap cordless phone that worked, but friends would sometimes complain about the sound quality. I went hunting for a new phone with my number one priority being the sound quality. I chose this phone because of the advertising of HD Audio. After using it a few times, I found the sound is tinny, and at high volume (level close to max) it distorts terrible both when using the speakerphone or normal phone. I'm not very impressed with the sound quality on this new model phone by VTech. Even adjusting the sound using the built-in equalizer doesn't help much. On a positive note, the phone is very light weight, people I call seem to hear me well and tell me I sound clearer than I did on the old cordless. I love the talking caller Id. For the price I think it's an ok phone. I'm just a bit disappointed with the HD Audio advertising.
