"Just after 1 year it dies! UGH!!!" By bunnylew

Pros: Pictures were very clear and printed quickly. Re-charging the camera batterywhile it is loaded is a nice feature as well. It also printed nice pictures from my computer as well as transferred them without having to remove the card.

Cons: It has problems with the paper feeder. After using the online trouble shoot advice, it still has issues. It will cost $80 to fix it and I only spent $100 to purchase it 14 months ago! You cannot purchase the ink cartridge without the paper.

Summary: I liked the idea of being able to print off quick pictures. It cannot handle a lot of pictures in one sitting but is great for the couple at a time need. The fact that it has problems and will cost as much to fix as it was to purchase ... Expand full review

"DITTO: Cartridge problems; AVOID this product!" By hair_doc

Pros: great concept. the kids (and I) were psyched. Until...

Cons: We tried to change the cartridge and it tore. Twice. Then we got it working with another cartridge. My wife took the device to school for a party. Fun, right? WRONG. Cartridge problems again...

Summary: Poor design of the most important and most expensive part of the printer: the ink. Go back to the drawing board, KODAK!! I can't wait to return it.

Which printer is right for me?

Laptop Finder

Choosing the right printer can be a daunting task. There are several different types of printing technology to choose from, each suited for different needs. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny travel companions to workgroup workhorses; some are geared toward photographers, others are for multitaskers. And the many specifications for resolution and speed can be misleading. As a rule of thumb, inkjet printers are a must for long-lasting photos, while laser printers are best to produce speedy text documents.

We've compiled a handful of typical user experiences that should help outline what type of printer is right for you. Chances are, you'll fall somewhere in between two or more of these archetypes, so carefully consider what you'll be using your new printer for.
