The Bottom Line: High brightness and a low price make the 24-inch Acer P241w immediately appealing, as does its unique bezel design, but we found its brightness came at the expense of deep colors and blacks. There's another low-cost 24-inch LCD we prefer.

The Bottom Line: We wouldn't pay more than $200 or so for any 19-inch LCD, but if you need a smaller screen and can find Acer's p191w for that price, we'd recommend it. It's a basic display with no speakers or HDCP-support, but its image quality and sleek design make up for any lacking secondary features.

The Bottom Line: Acer AL2216W is a bare-bones LCD monitor, but it represents a good value with its low price and relatively solid performance.

The Bottom Line: The Acer AL1951B offers good performance and a few extra features that make it tough to beat for the price.

The Bottom Line: This reasonably priced LCD has decent image quality and some nice extras, but it sacrifices some basics, such as adjustability. It could be a good purchase for someone on a budget.
