"Try it, you'll like it."
on by gear1152Pros 40 games and an easter egg
Cons Some games from my childhood missing
Summary Ignore the dopes; I actually own this thing. Having played it, I can say it's exactly what I expected for 30 bucks. The great thing about these old games is that there is no learning curve. You can sit around with your girlfriend or granddad and have a blast the first time you play it. For the techies out there, there is an easter egg contained in the game -a never before released Atari game. Google it, and you're sure to find directions to unlock it. Also, the board is easily hackable for installation of a cartridge receiver. I've had a lot more fun playing this thing than I ever had driving around San Andreas killing gang bangers and hookers for sport.

"Atari gets it right with the FB2"
on by johnnywcPros Good selection of titles, excellent video, joysticks
Cons New games are glitchy, A/B buttons tough to tell if they're on or off
Summary Overall, an excellent purchase for the price. Plays like a REAL Atari, the old classics are fantastic. Joysticks feel authentic, maybe even better than the originals. New games need fixing, but this will be addressed in a later revision. Highly recommended!

"My hands still hurt from the 80's"
on by yatmanPros It's fun playing the classics again
Cons Should be a web service to download games
Summary I liked the system because it provided hours of entertainment. We were playing pole position and it was still very competitive when I was playing against my wife.

"Pretty good"
on by ApolloBoyPros Very faithful to the original, joysticks compatible with the original 2600, great for road trips
Cons Needs more games
Summary I got a Flashback 2 a few months ago for an upcoming RV trip. I own an original Atari 2600 and didn't want to lug it around plus games, so I bought the Flashback 2 to quench my thirst for Atari. The great thing about it is that it's very faithful to the original, not just in appearance but also because it's based around a 2600-on-a-chip. This, of course, means it's possible to hack a cartridge port to it so you can play the original games. But since I already have a real 2600, I have no need do to this. I should also mention you can actually use the joysticks that come with it on your old 2600 or any other compatible system (i.e. Commodore 64, Atari 7800, etc.). Overall, the Flashback 2 isn't bad at all, and I recommend it if you wanna relive your childhood or if you're a classic video game collector who doesn't feel like taking their 2600 on a road trip.

"Buy It But Save Receipt"
on by apsel3Pros Fun for one evening
Cons No Space Invaders, imperfections while playing 'pong', and I forgot how horrible the graphics are
Summary Definitely worth purchasing to play for one evening. Just save your receipt because this will go back the next day.
Fun to relive original for a very short time.
