"Awesome Console System, but build quality seems sketchy"
Pros: Amazing gameplay, and seemless media interface.
Cons: XBox Live's Monthly fees and fear of that stupid ring.
Summary: I bought the 360 on a whim one day as I don't game too much but haven't had a console of my own since SEGA Saturn (yes... SEGA SATURN). I loved the extensive game offerings, and the fact that I could pick up a $5 XBox game at Gamestop that worked on the 360. I honestly used the thing more for streaming media than gaming, although I did finish a couple seasons of Madden and strutted through Saints Row. Overall I was impressed.
That was until one day when my CD drive just started making this grinding noise at start up. It still functioned properly, but that isn't great when the system is a month old. And then there was that idle anticipation of the red ring of death thingy. I understand I had a 3 year warranty and all... but that only lead me to believe it REALLY could happen to me.
I ended up selling it to my cousin and forewarned him of my issues with the machine. I will be picking up a Playstation 3 next time I get the urge to game, and hopefully that review will be better.
