  • "Red Ring of Death is unacceptible for 400 dollars!"

    on by cardens

    Pros: good graphics nice controller

Cons: Hardware failure for 400 dollars. If you have it to throw away by all means do it

Summary: This system had promise but unfortunately i know that microsoft has repaired their system for free for some but it still isn't a lifetime warranty on something they know is a factory defect. Completely unacceptable. Imagine your car will blow up after three years and needs a factory recall but the company refuses to fix it after three years and a day.

Well. It's quite hard for a Sony or Nintendo console to fail.
My PS1 works fine after almost 15 years!
My PS2 works fine after 4 years.
Even my nintendo & supernintendo consoles still works.

After 3 years and your system dies... many people don't even have systems that long. And 3 years for a company defect to show itself is exceptionally long. I'm pretty sure most people who've seen the defect have had it happen in the first year. Yes, there are exceptions. But Microsoft's 3-year warranty is very good. And what happens if a PS3 or Wii dies after a year? Aren't you in the same situation? I'm sorry you don't like your XBox360... I guess. :)
