  • "really nice!!!!!! with a few imperfections."
    on by frank_the_skier

Pros very user friendly virtually no lag on the touch screen, touch works very well with stylus, downloadable games, really cool photo shop, best voice recorder iv'e ever used, SD slot, reasonably good built in speaker, pre installed games.

Cons Very slow web browser with no video support (that i know of), low res camera (but okay), setting up Wi FI is a pain and confusing. (but once set up connects no problem), low res screens (so if you have your face close you see the pixels).

Summary Over all I really like this device, It is not intended for serious M rated games with HD graphics at all. The web browser sucks, but google and google images work fine (very slow though). If you can get over how slow it is and the fact that there's no flash the user interface incorporating the dual screen and touch it's pretty nice. The home screen is completely redone from the DS/DS lite and MUCH nicer. You can rearrange the icons and every item is in one horizontal scrolling list.
The cameras are only .3 MP but work fine and the photo shop is really cool.
The voice recorder is shockingly nice. apparently you can add music but you must convert it and i could not get it to work.
There is a cool online game shop but there are very few real tittles, mostly just small mini games (like bejeweld twist). most games are only 2-8 dollars.
Over all this is a great product and at about 200 bucks you cant really ask for much more.

  • "It is big, beautiful, and nice"
    on by techgoddess91

Pros The screen is very easy on the eyes, no squinting with this hand held! It is a nice screen size. the included big stylus is very easy on the hands

Cons It is not the most portable thing in the world.

Summary I love this hand held because the screen is very easy on the eyes. It makes a difference. When I was using my cousins DS lite the screen was hard to get used to and it felt and looked smaller than I remembered. I highly recommed it for that reason

  • "I am a 56 yo gamer - I love the big screen"

Pros Big and fun to play

Cons It does not fit ot your pocket

Summary If you are old with bad eye sight the XL is fir you

  • "Good & Bad things about the DSi XL..."
    on by jackojc

Pros Good: It's great for people with bad eyesight, Because the two screens are bigger. Better stylus.

Cons A bit pricey at the moment. It's nearly the same as the DSi , System, The same as the DSi .

Summary Good or Bad you choose. But out of my opinion, Bad
