"Awesome console- I added wi-fi with a simple Buffalo Airstation bridge"
Pros: Incredible gameplay; mp3 player/photo viewer is great
Cons: Shows fingerprints on glossy black shell; movie player needs more format compatibility
Summary: This has been a great console to play for the past few weeks. Resistance- Fall of Man has been an incredibly detailed shooter to play and requires much expertise to play well. I have had more fun transferring mp3's from my computer and playing them thru my home stereo. Simply use a USB removable card drive and plug it right into the Playstation 3. The sound is excellent. I installed a Buffalo AirStation Ethernet Converter (model WLI-TX4-G54HP)and it works perfectly. So I got wi-fi working for an additional $60. If you have the choice go for the 60 gig model since it has built-in wi-fi but since I only had the opportunity to get the 20 gig model I went for it and I'm glad I did. The photo viewer is awesome as well- I love the portrait mode and the panning/scanning it does with the pictures. Truly a great piece of technology (but is it worth $500??). After owning it for a few weeks I would say YES!

I have a similar situation - 20GB PS3 and bought a Buffalo airstation bridge. However, when I tried to network the PS3, I run into problems. The PS3 basically tells me that I need a system upgrade. Any suggestions on network settings is appreciated. BTW, I was able to use the bridge with my laptop, just not with the PS3.
Thanks,
