"Don't listen to the negativity think for yourself."
Pros: Beautiful exterior, Runs all PS and PS2 games, Excellent wireless controller, Slick touch sensitive button features, Great Graphics, Good for much more than gaming.
Cons: Motion sensor controller takes a little while to get use to.
Summary: Well myself i have always been a PS fan, even though the hype of Xbox even back in 2001 upon first release was considered much more of a monster gaming machine, i just could never get into xbox mainly because all the games on it were already on PC. Heres the comparison now between the 2 monster systems 360 and PS3.
1.The PS3 is totally backwards compatible, every single PS2 game and a few PS games have worked just fine. Xbox 360 on the other hand must have a start up disc for old games and as i've seen and heard some old xbox games you'll NEVER be able to play on it, meaning you'll just have to keep the old one or be SOL.
2.The graphics on Xbox 360 are nothing to snicker at, but i must admit the PS3s DPI and higher resolution give it more clarity and a much sharper image for the gamer, much like a high end PC gaming system. Plus the PS3 has 3 times the processing power of the Xbox and has had NO lag what so ever.
3.With all the negative reviews regarding the PS3 i still wasnt listening, and as quiet as the system is i dont have to, the 360 sounds like a large vacuum cleaner by comparison and the PS3 barely even sounds like anything but a soft hum. Also the bulky 360 adapter is a pain in the royal A#@ to contend with when unplugging and pluggin in.
4. The PS3 runs "kinda" hot but not nearly as hot as a large Gaming PC which i also own, and both i've kept on for hours without having to call the fire department to distinquish the inferno neither one have ever caused, yet another misconception.
5.The PS3 axis controller is pretty slick maybe a little TO sensitive but at least it really really works, i'd rather have that then trying to pound on the buttons to get it to work. The 360 wireless controller is nowhere near as sensitive and doesnt even give you the option.
6.The 20 gig is a steal, the price is not OVERpriced, especially when you think of the FUTURE of gaming and HD-DVD and Blueray movies, which yes 360 does not have. Also it can be used as a computer without any extra cost, and lots of free demos unlike the 360 xbox live garbage. The only silly thing i think is that sony has the 20 gig and 60 gig which there really is no need for. Your paying 100 extra dollars just for Wi-Fi, and not the card readers, because on the 20 gig all you have to do is take a jump drive with pictures plus it into one of the 4 USB ports and your rolling.
So in closing the PS3 is a better more expensive deal for the future, if people would have patience and not worry about how many games are out now they would realize this. As they said it takes at least 1 to 2 years to get games that take advantage of the full capabitlies of the new systems. So while Xbox is a "good" system PS3 just has more of everything, variety of games for the future and from the past, where as 360 is mostly shoot, kill, RPG, and first person shooters. My other recommendation is stay away from Wii or just get it for Mario Galaxy, i won't say much only Nintendo took a step back when they should be innovating great graphics AND great gameplay, if you don't believe me about the horrendous graphics just look at 80% or the gamespot game reviews, the highest is 7 on even the good. As for now PS3 is just the overall best, and yes i know because i own it and love it and wouldnt trade it for any other system.

u may be right about some things, but a system is only as good as it's games, and the ps3 doesn't have any. i'm guessing ur happy with a terrible excuse for a system seller, resistance....a first person shooter where u shoot, kill, and whatever else u said about 360, cuz that's all there is. not to mention a rumble-less controller that won't let u feel the ruts or huge explosions in motorstorm. but hey, the ps3 is glossy black, the games have to be amazing! speaking of games, motorstorm won't have online play with 3 guests online like xbox live, or 4 player split screen for that matter. mgs4 is rumored to be on 360. so what's left, an RPG? warhawk? so u got like one good game that's exclusive to ps3. what a waste.
