"I got my hands on PS3, thanks to my friend who drags me into Sony E3 pre-conference" on by maxl2000
Pros: Unparallel graphic realism like looking into a glass window, silky smooth game-play, free full online service
Cons: 499 price tag although 20GB hard-drive and bluetooth motion sensing controller are included, 599 for 60 GB hard-drive version.
Summary: I was planing not to get a PS3, because I burned so much money on Xbox360. Luckily, I had a chance to get my hands on the playable DEMO today, so LUCKY, no word can expresses my feeling. I thought even if PS3 is better than my Xbox360, it's just slightly more powerful, and the demos sony played last year are just pre-rendered CG, I was wrong, totally wrong. I couldn't believe what I saw today with my eyes, everything just looks so real, like looking in to a glass window, and the game-play is silky smooth. So, after I get back, I will start saving money for PS3.

I like my xbox360 but the fact that you need to pay to play online is not cool what so ever. I Am excited to give the ps3 a try. Here in Kuwait it's more expensive to buy electronics especially video games than any other place in this earth.

CongratS!! well now it makes me wonder why nerds in gaming stores quietly say that the xbox 360 graphics are actually better?? Because out of all the people who have PS3 how much are really running it on an HDMI cable??? Not alot!! You have to waist so much Friken money (thousands of dollars) just to get something better than the 360...
its a rip off and it will never be worth the money...

When I played this consle I thought it was even worse then the 360, and it was definatly way bigger, It was humungous! I was too distracted from all those little fingerprints glearing in my eye's from the consle's glossy finish to even think about shelling out another $599, that's insane! When I did a side by side comparison of the same game the 360 looked even better! and it loaded almost twice as fast on the 360.

I can't help wondering. I say this because it really flies in the face of 90% of the other reviews I have read where the PS3 is only JUST better than the XBox 360 and in terms of gameplay, perhaps a little less.

I'm not suggesting for one minute that Maxl2000 works for Sony. I'm just surprised by the comments.

with 1 year to "correct" the 360 launch problems sony seems to have learned nothing. From rumors of a mass recall, to less then half of the E3 stated availability. The 400k promised at launch was cut to just under 200k. Sure the demos look nice but I can't afford the $2600.00 20" monitor the displays are set up with. Tack on about another $150.00+ just to get all the online stuff you need and the sony is now at over $825.00 compaired to about $700.00 for 360 with all the works, 1 year of live service AND a HD DVD player...not to mention there is already a strong show of blu-ray decline or unwillingness to support this format. In short the 360 and PS3 are both great, but the 360 has much more to offer and for less money....there are tons of complaints about the blue tooth controllers loosing signal. Isay save your money there is nothing on ps3 right now worth that money. Keep in mind those displays you see the pS3 are the very top of the line....is your TV at home just as good? If not don't expect the same WOW factor.

Interesting you say that, because major developers are unanimous stating PS3 and Xbox 360 are equal in power, with PS3 having more raw processing power and Xbox 360 having more memory. Some, some Epic Games, go as far as stating they prefer the Xbox 360 because the memory is much more important than anything else. Want a prove? Play Gears of War. No PS3 game has graphics as good as those, period. I actually wonder if any PS3 ever will. And Halo 3 is not even out yet.

E3 is not open to the public so how did you get in? there's only one way.
