Cons: Does not take into account that users also want smaller form factor, shorter, "ADD"-type games vs. Advanced extended play games. Costly proprietary media and early adopters pay the price.
Summary: Hard to see the Vita succeeding in a world where its target audience would prefer an iPhone, iPod touch, or Android phones with simple addictive, short learning curve games + balancedd media, web browsing capabilities over dedicated advanced gaming hardware and extended play games.
Carriers would never permit a Vita to have voice capability without charging extra money to a child customer who couldn't even apply for an account anyways.
