"Best car I ever owned"
Pros: Great handling, great fuel economy
Cons: Awful iPod adapter; useless cup holders
Summary: This car is a blast. I love going anywhere in it. It handles as perfectly as you could want it to. I get about 28-31 mpg, and the pick-up is phenomenal. Visibility is fine with the top down, but backing out of a parking space with the top up has to be done cautiously. It's hard to see back there. The iPod adapter add-on is a technological nightmare. No text, no advanced control of the iPod via the head unit. You can't even see the track information on the iPod's screen, because the Mini replaces the display with the word "Mini". On a good note, however, the factory CD player plays MP3s on CD-R and CD-RW discs. The car has a whopping SIX cupholders, and all of them are essentially useless. Two in front of the stick shift can only hold a can of soda, not a cup. This is because they are under the climate controls. Anything other than a can is too tall. The giant, ugly, swing-arm cup holder over the stereo is too big. Drinks tip over. Open the glove compartment and two are on the fold down door, but they are too shallow to hold anything while the car is in motion. Finally, lift the center arm rest and there is one in there, but if you are driving, you have to use your left hand and reach around your body and behind to get the drink from the cup.
