"350Z are Lemons.. DO NOT BUY"
Pros: The car makes right turns all by itself
Cons: Nissan won't stand behind it's product and fix it.
Summary: I have had the car since Feb, 04, and have nothing but problems. The car has a defect in the suspension that Nissan refuses to acknowledge or fix. The car pulls badly to the right while driving. Nissan originally blamed this on poor alignments from the factory. They then blamed defective tires. They then went to driver error and are back to alignment. The bottom line is that the car suffers from a serious defect in the suspension which causes the car to not hold an alignment even if properly set. The result is worn out tires every 4k miles at $300.00 a piece.
They also have a defect in the clutch that causes it to rattle like rocks in a tin can whenever the car is idling. This is normal according to Nissan's techs.
The rear suspension clicks like crazy whenever you start off and I have been waiting for parts for over a month now to fix that.
I've had my tachometer die while driving, navigation door stick shut, the screen go blank for no reason, the passenger door only opens when it wants to, and the car just up and dies every now and then while driving.
What's also nice is that the paint is chipping like crazy. I have a BMW that does the same commute to work as the Z does and it has none of the road damage from rocks like the Z does. My commute is only 3.1 miles on back roads no less and the front of the car looks like it got hit by birdshot.
You can see my news story on the car on the New York Channel 2 web site. The air date was May, 6, 2005 under Kirsten Coles' section of the web page.

I have a nissan titan 05 and the paint is chipping all over, I took it to nissan and they said it was from rocks, I asked about my tail gate and in door jams and they blew me off, i have probably over 1000 little chips on my truck and nissan will do nothing, if i could go back i would never buy a nissan, I have a friend with a titan 2006 same problem.

Nissan DID acknowledge the problem and DID fix the problem. I have an 2004 350Z and got a letter from Nissan about the suspension problem.
I've had NO trouble with my 2004 Z. As a general rule, you should avoid a brand new make because they will have problems. The 2003 Z's had suspension problems that were fixed by the late model 2004 models. Don't listen to lies. -
Bought a 2006 model. Acceleration is neither to fast nor to slow, just enough to enjoy the vehicle. The exhaust tone is music to the ears. Backing up the vehicle does pose some problems as it has limited rear views and takes a while to get use to. The instrument layout has a neat appearance, but the onboard computer buttons could have been within better reach. Replaced a 7-series and 3-series beemer with a Patrol and 350Z as they came with all the problems dh21187 described he experienced with the Nissan.
