"Only CNet would rate this car higher than the Eos."
Pros: Nice exterior styling. Safety.
Cons: Ergonomics? Price.
Summary: I can't think of one thing this car does better than the Eos. Build quality? Nope. More sophisticated hard top? Nope (VW managed to put a glass sunroof in their car for the cold days when you'd still like to see the sun). Interior quality? Nope. VW is just as nice with way better ergonomics...whats with the center stack buttons and a remote control for the navigation???? that's just dumb. A better stereo? VW has a Dynaudio too. A better transmission? Sorry VW's DSG is so far ahead of the five speed auto it's almost laughable. Engine? Volvo has a few more ponies but in the real world they would be dead even between stoplights...and I'd bet the ranch the VW gets much better mileage. Oh yea, and the VW is 10 grand less. Game over (one of CNet complaints was the Eos was too expensive). If you want a cheap plastic piece of junk buy a G6 Pontiac with the hardtop convertable option...you get what you pay for.

I will never buy a VW product. There have been THREE VWs lemoned where I work, two Touregs and a Jetta. VW quality? Ummm no, maybe a few years back but now they are a reliability nightmare.

This car's interior is much better quality then VW and if you knew anything about cars you would know that VW's quality hasn't been very good lately not to mention volvo uses much higher quality parts like the roof. The eos is too cheap for a hard-top convertable it has way to many things to go wrong. As for the Transmission volvo uses very good transmissions. Next time reasearch before you talk about VW being so great.
