Pros Luxurious yet smart interior, excellent acceleration, very comfortable ride, and yes, the CSC roof
Cons None that I've found
Summary The reviewer didn't mention it, but VW offers a stereo upgrade by Dynaudio for $1,000. It's worth every penny, so if you're on the fence, just get it you won't be sorry.
The Eos is a show stopper of a car, it provides an awesome ride and makes you feel as though your surrounded by luxury. I'd agree with the reviewer that this is a car that prefers to be driven modestly -- it's not a sports car. But then I wasn't looking for a sports car, I wanted a good value car that offered a lot of great bells and whistles. The three-way roof just sealed the deal, and turning your car from a coupe into a convertible with the touch of a button is nothing short of amazing every time.
My gauge when I spend a lot of money on something is if I can detect any buyer's remorse in me. With my Eos I haven't regretted it for a second. By far, the best car I've ever owned.

Pros Leather interior, sunroof along with hardtop convertible
Cons The price, navigation system
Summary My EOS leaks on both the drivers and passengers side windows and has in shop for repairs twice and is being taken in for the third time. Brakes sqeak for the first 10mins and when the is any moisture in air. Which means they sqeak most of the time. I have been told by dealership that its the type of brakepads and because my car is not garage kept. Never had any other new cars do this even after having them for several years. WIll never buy or reccommend a VW.
Pros Responds well, very quick, lots of get up and go,
Cons can't think of a thing, except a little pricy, but hey, coupe sunroof, convertable...well worth every penny!
Summary This is absolutely the greatest car I ever drove and have ever had the pleasure of owning!! It is definately NOT the 1964 vw bug I grew up with!
Pros Handling is great. Visibility is good and the rear sensors take the fear out of backing up with the blind spots. Good acceleration. Driving with the top down puts a big smile on my face. Decent mileage. Size makes it easy to park.
Cons Wish it had seat memory. Some turbo lag. When it is first started, big hesitation when accelerating but only lasts 20 seconds. The ride is rough but that's the trade-off for better handling. The rear window defroster is really slow.
Summary I actually look forward to driving because of this car. Sporty with great handling which is great because I mostly drive in the city. I never thought of buying a convertible because of concerns for the roof and the overall impracticality. The hard top removes the roof concern. Realizing that I deserve to drive a fun car was the mind opening conclusion that truly opened the door (pun intended) to the possibility. As I looked more into the car, there was so much good that the impractical side was easily accepted.
I have a 6 year old so a back seat was a must have. That requirement really narrows the choices in a hard top. Looked at the Volvo - didn't feel right for me.
This car offers a lot of really great features: handling, good looks, nice interior, good sound system (dynamik), pretty good sized trunk with the top up, and of course the joy of driving topless. It isn't amazing at any of those things but the package is what makes me rate it 4.5 stars.
There are some quirky things to adapt or just accept. You have to get used to starting from zero on a hill. The first two weeks I would chirp or get uneasy as the car rolled backwards. I have adjusted and its fine now even with the hills in Seattle. The windows nest into the roof and need to retract slightly to open the door and there are some annoying mechanics to that. Without a real rain gutter, water drops onto the seat when the roof is wet. A towel in the door compartment takes care of that. My wife was not on board but now looks forward to switching cars.

Pros Secure when the tops up, fun when the tops down. Peppy engine. Nice interior trim with lots of creature features.
Cons Nav system is weak, no AWD version.
Summary Go test drive this car and see what you would rate it.
