"YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!!"
Pros: quality parts, best of conv. and hard-top worlds, great drivetrains
Cons: none so far - they won't be here for 6 months!
Summary: Cnet, I'm a long time reader, and have used you for many years to guide me on the quest for electronics knowledge. You have lost me as a reader with this and the Jetta reviews.
The review of the EOS, which isn't due in the states for 6 months, is seriously flawed. Your reviewer is clearly showing a distain for VW's. One word has been used to describe the EOS: beautiful. Please get your 12 year old review off the soapbox, and get back to what you do well - review technology, not cars.

Just test drove the eos last week and I have to say this car handles great, steering , pickup 2.0 , top up or down no rattles.Sound system was best I have ever heard in a drop top from the factory. Only con I could find is the rear seat kind of narrow for two full size adults, side interior not flush sticks out into your hips, also the space between gas and brake pedal could be wider, kept hitting the right corner of the brake pedal when switching to the gas.

Are you sure your reviewer is looking at the EOS, perhaps he is looking in the mirror. Compared to butt uglies like the mini cooper and PT Convertible, this car is drop dead gorgeous.

I'm thinking that "bland and ugly" are a bit over the top. Can't wait to see EOS in the flesh!

I've not yet seen the car, but "ugly--bland" seems a bit strong!

Just look at the CR repair records. They are abysmal!
