"Great car, one comment about the video review"
on by clashboardPros I agree with Mr. Cooley... the engine is great but a manual trans would be better. For those who must have the manual, consider purchasing a pre-owned 2005 SLK350.
Cons No manual trans.
Summary Fun video review by Mr. Cooley. But before anyone gets too excited about the "REST" button, unfortunately the system only heats the cabin and will NOT cool it. The system uses residual engine heat for up to 30 minutes while the car is parked.

"If you want a ride, pick the SLK55 with Performance PKG"
on by STEPMANPros Having owned 4 SLK's the 2009 SLK55 is a Thrill
Cons Cost, 2009 was fully loaded and was close to 78,000
Summary If I didn't love the car, I'd not have owned 4. Only minor problems over the 4 that I have owned. A note on the 2009, the prior models when you put the top up the small side windows went up as well, 2009 they go up when you raise the windows. The car appeals to a particular set, it's not a super car (SLK55 AMG come close 4.3 to 60 and 175 limited top end). The new stereo will rip cd's to the built in hard drive BUT you have to convert them to MP3 format first. I'm sure this is to protect MB from DRM issues. Also they have included a SD slot which you can extract music to an SD card on your PC and place the SD card in the car and play MP3's from it. IT will even play DVD's with surround sound and display on the NAV screen. I've had my 2009 SLK55 AMG for 1 week now, just need to get the required 1,000 miles breakin and then I can play.
