Pros As an older driver (58) i fit into the 'don't care about burn-outs' category, and the fact that my every day car (2003 Mondeo ) is a four-banger make the 6 cylinder more than enough for me.
Cons gas milage NOTHING ELSE!!!
Summary I seriously considered 4 or 5 convertibles for my used car budget of around $20K and quickly eliminated the Solara (clunky and ugly), the Saab aero ( maybe when I'm 70), older Beemers and Mercedes (too sall in back seat and much older cars for the same money. A rented Sebring got the top stuck in open position after the third day. I imagined the Mustang to ne way to small so was stoked when I actually got to try one.....no brainer! The gas mileage sucks but since we're all supposed to be toast after 2012 according to the Mayans, so what!?!?!?

Pros Stylish, affordable, fun to drive (yes, feel that road!), frugal and everyday-usable. Forget the 2010 and *buy* the 2011! Fabulous drivetrain (both V6 and V8), improved suspension, myriad detail changes. All good.
Cons Some display goofiness with the lighting, back seat a little tight - and don't even consider the 2010.
Summary You missed a lot of basic things in this review. Stick to electronics. What prompted you to test this car right now, particularly when all the major publications have already driven the new stuff??
And, there's more: Regarding the design, Mustang design DNA comes through in a thoroughly modern interpretation. Best Mustang yet. The term retro is misplaced, here. The drivetrain you sampled is old and will be replaced by a world-class setup with a LOT more power, much more refinement and even better real-world gas mileage (new V6 and V8, new trans). Other tweaks will include refined suspension settings, though the steering you complained about is actually quite good and perfectly suited to this kind of car. Feeling the road and knowing where your wheels are at all times - specially the front ones - is central to high levels of driver involvement, a primary reason for buying something like this.
Additionally, there are very nice interior upgrade options not mentioned and the car will also be available with new 6-speed auto or manual transmissions that are smoother and provide better acceleration and gas mileage.
It should also be said the price for a decently optioned ride is still quite good, and that there is usable back seat and trunk. The ergonomics are solid, sight lines are excellent for this kind of car and the interior materials are quite good. The build quality is excellent. You can use this as a real car and still get your kicks everyday.
A very competitive alternative to some really nice rides, including the Camaro, 370Z and a bunch of very sporty sedans.
Pros My rating is based off of the 2011, not the 2010.
New more modern styling, sleek nose, muscular hood lines, modern tail.
Cons V6, and automatic
Summary the new 2011 V6 has 305 HP, and 30 mph.
the 2011 GT will have 5.0L Aluminum block V8 with double overhead cams, variable cam timing, and 4 valves per cylinder and has 412 HP 390 Lbs torque, and either an all new 6 speed manual, or an all new 6 speed auto, and 25 mph.
Optional track pack will give you 373 gears, and more of a sport tuned suspension.
Brembo upgrade option will give you 14" brakes.
New GT500 engine will now be aluminum block, and 550 HP.
Pros Really stylish, well-equipped. Drives nice! Comfortable and sporty.
Cons Gas mileage
Summary I just purchased one used and I'm really happy with it. It's sharp, rides nice, really moves when you touch the gas and is great for 'round town and highway driving. The back seat is more comfortable than I thought it would be. Not everyone is 16 and looking for a drag race at the corner. It's a great little, stylish car that fun to drive, and a part of Americana too. Although I like Camaros as well, the convertible aspect and price point put ithis Mustang at the top of my list. I think it's a great little ride!! Love it.
Pros I just bought this car preowned yesterday. I love it! The gas milage sucks... But whatever. Convertibles are fun! Sync has an app you can download for your phone called "Sync Destinations" Awesome app! This adds the map display and point of informa
Cons Gas Mileage
Summary Fun Car!
