Summary: I looked at alot of convertibles before buying this one.. A5 (which I really liked, but liked this better) Z convertible (WAY too noisy with top up) and BMW Z4 (really liked this car too, but more expensive and kind of a women's car. it looks really great top up or down and I live in a location with inclement weather so with the top up you don't even know it's a convertible which I value greatly.

not sure why my "pro' of the navi system got truncated but the navi on this car is very good. the reviewer should also do his homework and change the color scheme from "childish" white to black - it looks great. Infiniti dealerships are also top notch compared to other luxury brands..

Pros: Great nav. system (I've used many, from Audi to Merc, to Cadillac...Infiniti hit the mark!)

Summary: I've driven the 335, A5, E350, SC430, EOS, and several others. Without shelling out an additional 20K for the SC430 I've not found a car that checks all the same boxes as the G37 (4-seater, hard-top convertible, and the perfect blend of sport and luxury). The key component with the G37 is that it is a true luxury car, but it has the look and (arguably) the performance of a sports car. It's not going to win many races, but it will get you very comfortably wherever you are going, faster than your friends (unless they own an SL, SC or an XK). BTW all of those cars cost nearly twice as much!

Pros: G37 convertible is a fun and very comfortable car with roof either in the up or down position. It has the power to get you going and handles well. On recent trip it averaged 26.9 mpg, roof up, driving around the posted speed limit of 70.

Cons: The cons: no spare tire - am paranoid about that and of course the trunk space issue. But when on holiday, I won't lower the roof during the highway portion of the trip. No latch for a chid car seat in the back.

Summary: The car is fun, starting from the instant you push the "start" button and hear the sound reverberating from the garage walls, great tone. Infinity engineers must have spent hours coming up with the right tone for the exhaust. Underway, this baby responds to the driver's command instantly. The leather heated/cooled seats are great and an option I'll will always want.
When it comes to driving, nothing can beat the G37 roof down on a fun road in nice weather. I love the backup camera system - that is great.

On a recent road trip, DFW area to Des Moines, including a bit of driving around DSM, I averaged 26.9 MPG - pretty good in my book. The aerodynamic styling and 7 speed transmission certainly help. Of course the highway driving was with the roof in the up position.

The interior is very nice, the lighting in the car at night and door panel light give it a luxury feel. The back seat is ok for small children or adults on short trips unless the people in the front are very short in which case you can move the front seats up to make room in the back. Front seats can go back almost to the edge of the back seats - so it is less room than economy on U.S. airlines.

I have not found a latch where you can secure a baby/child's car seat in the back and of course you don't mount those in the front. When that need occurs, I use the other car.

I do not like that the car does not come with a spare but comes with a pump. Which might be ok, if you notice a slow leak or an almost flat tire. But, what if you shred a tire on the highway or get a gash on a tire, that pump isn't going to help one damn bit - is it?

Trunk space is limited but I get a large 3 suiter suitcase, a smaller suitcae and 2 carry-ons and into the trunk. During the cross country portion of the trip I won't lower the roof anyway. There is a small compartment in the trunk under the roof storage area where you can put stuff. That area is about 5" deep and 27"x28" in size.

This is the first convertible I've owned and have wanted a hardtop convertible since I was a kid and saw those 57 Ford Skyliners.

Pros: - A/C seats in the premier editinon (a must for convertibles)
- Handles well but not as quick off the gates at the 335 cab, but then th power is tremendous.
- nav system, Bluetooth audio steaming, ipod connection
- rearview camera and sonar.

Cons: -The stereo could use a subwoofer
- The nav system cannot be programmed when in motion
- when the top is down voice entry turns off.
- sonar volume too low
- trunk space small (there is a hidden compartment to store stuff even when the roof is down

Summary: I have the BMW 335 cab before and this car is comparable. Not as fast but then costs a lot less
It is not as quick off the gates as the BMW which is surprising as it is not a turbo but once it gets going the power is tremendous.
The roof does take more time to open and close and trunk space is problematic but you can store golf clubs in the trunk under the hidden compartment so all is not lost
the A/C and A/C seats are amazing (in the premier edition) and are a must if you want to drive to work in 80 degree plus weather. Works great even in a shirt and a tie.
The Bluetooth audio streaming works great on my bold, and sounds as good as the iPod direct connection. Combine that with the satellite radio, Hard-drive CD storage, DVD player (when the car is not in motion) and it is a entertainment machine
I love the drive of this car so much so that I don't miss my BMW anymore (well OK I do but the drop in my monthly payments have made me feel better. They rearview camera/sonar combination is useful making it almost impossible to run over things but I do wish the sonar beeped a bit louder upon impact (the BMW sonar saved me from hitting garbage cans more than once) because if the stereo is on you cannot hear the beeping.

Bottom Line

Almost as good as the BMW 335 cab (almost) but better value....
