"Fiat = Fubar"
1.0 starson by InsertCleverUserNameHerePros: The only good thing I can say about Fiat is, thank God I don't own one.
Cons: With the possible exception of Yugo, Fiat has manufactured the worst cars of the last half-century.
Summary: My Dad owned a Fiat back around 1970. It was a complete, total disaster -- Dad spent most weekends fixing it. Nothing I have ever heard about the brand has changed my opinion. I have many friends in Europe, a few of whom are unfortunate and/or foolish Fiat owners, all of whom curse the brand from stem to stern. No one, NO ONE outside of Italy buys these things. They are cheap, unreliable, rust-out-in-two-years junk heaps. NEVER buy a Fiat.

I know it's hard to believe, but a lot of things have changed since 1970.
Hate to be the first to tell you, but Fiat now owns Chrysler.
They are now US.
That said, the only part of the Fiat 500c that comes from Italy is the drivetrain.
While the Multi Air engine technology is decidedly Italian (a technology that has won wide acclaim worldwide), the Multi Air engine in U.S. Fiats is homegrown - built by Americans right here in Detroit.
The car is assembled in Mexico, just like many other cars in the U.S. today.
I owned a '66 Fiat 850 in 1970, so I can vouch for the fact that today's Fiat 500 has every bit of the style of its predecessor, but nothing else! -
Kindly limit your reviews and ratings to the actual product, and not some generic noises about a giving brand. These kinds of ratings do not contribute anything substantive to the review process.
