A great looking coupe with good power, awesome design and lots more...
Pros: Unique design; good power/acceleration; good finish/assembly; good gas mileage; good headroom
Cons: Only adequate trunk; limited outward visibility;
Review: This car is an absolute head turner. The design which was first brought to light in the late 90's is still very unique. The interior of the vehicle is very well finished. Assembly is tight and materials are of great quality. Engine wise, power is very nicely delivered giving you a good boost when the turbo kicks in (which happens at low rpm avoiding the effect of turbo lag). Merging on highways or passing is never a problem. The TT also adds a nice set of features such as ESP (no, it does not read minds but close to it...), and the famous Audi Quattro system (a form of all wheel drive system). This makes for a very safe driving experience with great cornering and perfect traction on slippery surface (take it from the owner of a steep driveway in winter). Added to this, the gas mileage is very good with about 25 mpg city and more than 30mpg highway. I regularly travel more than 420 miles on one tank doing mixed driving.
Being a tall driver, I was concerned about the cabin's space. As a driver, no problem. Headroom is very good but rear seat room on the coupe (no rear seat on the roadster) is only good for storage.
Trunk is also adequate but it's lack of height will cause problems putting grocery bags there.
Outward visibility is also limited for tall drivers as the roofline comes downs quite far and you will have to lean forward to check the stop lights.
To summarize, if you want a car that is safe, provides good acceleration, a unique and timeless styling, and nice handling, the TT is the car for you.
