"Looking to replace it." on by rbiggs6969
Pros: Relatively inexpensive. Expandable system, and they can be found in all of the major chain stores in my area so I knew I wouldn't have trouble finding add-on handsets or replacement batteries.
Cons: Looks, feels more like a remote control. Battery doesn't last long. There is a long pause when you answer a call, so you have to wait before saying "hello", or the person won't hear you. Drops calls, in the same room, within feet of the base station.
Summary: Our previous cordless phone was a Uniden and it served us well for a really long time, so I wanted to get another Uniden. This seemed like a popular, affordable (thought not *cheap*) model, and the ability to add another handset appealed to me. But the performance is really disappointing. Looking to replace it.
