"GREAT features! Nice size, weight and quality." on
Pros: Has more features than any other cordless phone - very similar to what cellular phones offer. 5.8 ghz is good for not interfering with other wireless networks (bluetooth, wifi - which is why I bought this). Love the backlit numbers and LCD (I even love
Cons: Baby monitor mode makes a ringing sound on the baby's room handset/base before transmitting baby's sounds - sure to wake up a baby you are trying to monitor! Also not good if you're trying to check up on an older child. And like other's have noted - mor

"High Quality phone" on
Pros: A very nice phone with long range, clear sound, lots of features, and decent battery life. Having the additional handhelds enables us to use it as a intercom system for our home, and having the handfree mute on the handhelds is a bonus for business calls
Cons: The cost is high, but so far worth it. Need to refer to the manual for some of the advanced features and how to access, but not a huge deal. Biggest complaint would be the earpiece on the handhelds, which is not very comfortable when talking for extended

"Bought it, exchanged it, got frustrated, returned it... Don't waste your time or money." on by aerochick
Pros: Cheap package deal with multiple extensions
Cons: Low battery life, No range
Summary: We bought this phone and had to replace the batteries on the handsets because they kept dying... nothing like having to run for a different handset because your phone is beeping at you, warning that it will die... Or having the handset's battery die when it's off the hook--then you can't find it. The range is very limited--walk outside and it's questionable if you'll be within range... walk into the yard and you'll be out of range for sure and the call will be dropped.
We had to do hard resets on the base at least twice a month because it would not hang up from a call... so it had to be unplugged, then you wait for a minute or so, and then reboot the system.
I exchanged the phone for the same model, had the same problems... so finally I returned it and bought a Vtech VT-I5871. I like this one much better!
If you do not use the phone much, and do not wander far from your base unit, then the phone will probably be fine for you. If you are like me, and like to do things and walk around while chatting, then you'll be disappointed. -
"Best cordless yet!" on by marcpearce
Pros: PBX style features
Cons: Walkie talkie feature not much use
Summary: Had a Uniden years ago and it was terrible, so avoided them since
Recently saw a review so thought i would give i a go
This unit is great!
Does not mess up the wireless network ( 802.11 a/g)
Transfer features very nice ~ could use for a small business ( they do a 2 line model too)Call transfer etc.
Hands free on base and handset is excellent (Duplex)
Intercom works just fine
Range overall seems to be about 50 Yards - not bad
The walkie talkie feature is a good selling point but in reality is of little use due to the range
Baby minder feature works well and useful to some people
I have found nothing to fault this unit and would recommend to anyone
