"Don't waste your mony" on by pyucht

Pros: Nice sleek design, cellphone-like features such as phone number storage is convenient, good speakerphone

    Cons: Waste of money

Summary: The phones were fine for a year though there was echoing when an extension was picked up. After about a year when the phone was out of warranty, "Warning Check Battery" came up on the screen and the phone did not work. If a battery was removed and then placed back, the phone would work for a while but the warning message would return. Customer support was unresponsive and others seem to have had the same problem. I liked the phone initially but only buy it if you want to replace it after the phone is out of warranty. I will be buying new phones, but not vtech.

"The best 5.8 I've owned!!" on

Pros: Longer range than the motorolla and panasonic 5.8. Very easy to use. Works great with your remote voicemail (has an indicator light that flashes when you have a message waiting in your phone company voicemail box). After years of reading reviews on cnet,

Cons: None - After 6 months of ownership.

"A good, basic 5.8 ghz cordless telephone" on

Pros: This telephone is great if you don't need an answering machine or voice mail, and you don't need a bunch of other bells and whistles. It has the typical basic features such as caller ID, speakerphone in the handset, programmable numbers (that has an addr

Cons: The volume button is on the side of the handset. So you have adjust your hold on the handset not to push the volume button. But that can also be a pro, if you need to adjust the volume quickly.

    "DON'T BUY!" on by CAV99

Pros: Good sound, speakerphones work well.

Cons: LCD screens failed. Short battery life.

Summary: My biggest complaint is that the LCD screen on both phones failed after about a year. Impossible to read caller ID, phone book names etc. Has to be a better buy out there...

"Great Phone for the Money" on by pod74

Pros: Phone size, backlight on keypad, shared phone book, great sound, speaker phone useful,

Cons: can't remote the answer machine from handset, ringtones generic.

Summary: So far so good, I really like this phone but I only had it a day. I got the answerer which isn't listed on this site. A lot of reviews I've seen is about the battery, hope that doesn't happen that would change my view if it does. Really like that you can talk between handsets. I had a GE Edge and the speaker phone was useless, this one is very clear and easy to hear. My dad noticed right away I had a differnt phone, he said the other one I had I sounded "muffled". Phone is very easy to hold and operate. Like the volume on the side makes it easier to adjust the volume as your on the phone.
