Pros: - Always a pleasure to drive, even on days you don't want to drive a sports car - Comfortable Feel - Excellent DTS stability - If you love cars, you'll love the RX8
Cons: - Poor Gas milage - Needs Oil - 6 Cd changer brakes down if you use burned CDs.
Summary: If your going with the RX8 do not buy the base model because it lacks the critical DTS system. The Dynamic Traction Control on this car is remarkable over other sports cars I've driven and raced. Where other 2005 cars wipe out (take it from me), this one takes control. Mazda has done an excellent job ensuring young drivers can survive their own mistakes, and other peoples mistakes. I've never felt more safe in a high powered sports car. Also, the turbo option is SPECTACULAR. You know why you want this car, its not the fuel economy. If you want a fancy economical car, buy the Mazda 3, its very nice.
If you want the successor to the Rx7 Turbo, buy an RX8, and a turbo kit (325 bhp), you will never look at another car again, except perhaps in your rear view mirror.
Also, women seem to love looking at this car (No offense to any reader out there) - but this car IS foreplay.
See you on the road!
