Pros: Handling, exterior and descent power

    Cons: Transmission and suspension problem

Summary: I own a 03-S. I have been having problem with the suspension and tranny problem since about 15000 miles. Dealer have not fix the problem and I'm still fighting. Therefore, I just want everyone to be aware. There is a transmission problem (Manual, 2nd gear grind and 3rd gear pop out)with the car. The problem is intermittent. If you want to test your luck, go ahead. My advise is research online before buying it. By the way, usually dealer going to tell you they can't find anything wrong with the car. Go to google and search 2nd gear grinding RSX. Good Luck!!

You do not (personally) no what you are talking about. Atleast it doesn't sound like you do. Whichever Dealer you are seeing for issues with your car... yeah. Find a btter one. Because thats like having a scratch on the front fender, the dealer pointong it out, but without telling you the engine is shot. Dude, learn to drive manual, and learn to be more Articulate in my opinion. You sound as if you had just recieved your license.

Good Day Sir.

PS. I hope you get your tranny fixed.

this is bogus. there talking about the 06' RSX Type-S not ones that are 4 years old already with problems. Sorry you got one of the few that has problems, but I drive the heck out of my car and its got 33 some odd thousand kms with not a hint of problem with the transmission. buy an 06 rsx-s if you can find one and if you like it cause I guarentee you wont regret it. its a real drivers car.

I can see that Acura has done nothing to fix the six speed manuel tranmission problem. I am having the same problem. Except it has also locked up on me. I am getting ready to send it back for the fourth time to get it repaired. This car is a lemon. See web site http://www.petitiononline.com/RSXgrind/petition.html They are trying to get Acura to do something. Lots of luck

Obviously they had changed a lot since the 03 model. I tried googling it and there is a complete list of changes throughout the years and the 06 has alot of changes. Im not saying the 06 wont have this problem, but I'm hoping that it will not be a problem with this. I only have 6,000 miles on mine, but it is leased so dealer should fix without a problem. I did have a small grinding noise in the back wheel but went to the dealer and they replaced the whole back axle and a whole mess of stuff free of charge, so i would still have to say with problems Acura service beats all else making this car a great value no matter what.
