Pros I need more info
Cons I need more info please
Summary Must not get a good enough MPG to brag about.
Wouldn't you think when gas is approaching 4 bucks a gallon. You would want to know if you will get 20 MPG or 40 MPG? What gives?
"Best in class"on by klacan
Pros smooth ride,plenty of room
Cons Some may find the look a little strange
Summary Very popular car and very hard to find.In the same class as the Yaris,Rio,Accent and Fit. Beats them all hands down. Most horsepower, nicely designed interior and lots and lots of room.
Accent is nice, Rio and the Aveo are bare bones, the Yaris design is nice but interior leaves a lot to be desired. The Honda Fit is nice but its more exoensive.Do yourself a favour and test them all,I did. You'll see for the package and the price its a great car that won't disappoint.
Pros + Gas, + Comfort, + Versatility (cargo), + Passenger room, + City parking... I suggest this car for city drivers.
Cons - Hot black interior, - A/C takes long to cool, - no cruise control on 07' model, slow pick-up speed for passing cars, - ugly, plastic front grill. I do not suggest this car for speed demons or for those who need cruise control.
Summary I like the car, but I wish I had a light-color interior, and I wish it had more pick-up speed. It also seems to struggle uphill...It makes it, but it sounds like it's struggling.
Pros The only thing I like about the Versa is the 6 disc CD player.
Cons The factory tires are cheap and wear fast, there are a few problems with the braking system (my rotors were warped), the CVT transmission is scary (Downshifts and over-revs constantly during highway driving), and it doesn't meet its mpg offering.
Summary I own this car and have had nothing but problems with it. The car only gets about 25mpg city when it promised 31mpg. The electronic system is weak at best, none of the power windows operate like they did when I bought the car. They hardly work their way up. The tires on the vehicle were near bare at 8,000 with regular 3,000 rotations. The transmission has a mind of its own on the highway between over-revving and downshifting. The brake system had defective warped rotors that caused violent shimmies on the highway and it sometimes had trouble starting in cold winter weather. This was my first new car and I was excited to have it because I was entering college and feared a used car because of possible expensive repairs. The only thing saving this vehicle is the warranty because it would have been over $2,000 to repair all of the problems. I have had better luck with my 1991 Corolla that didn't need more than an oil change every 3,000 miles. This car is the worst possible car I could've purchased. I seriously suggest that you purchase either the Toyota Yaris or the Ford Focus because both prove better in day to day running than this car. I work for a rental car company and those cars work like charms! The Focus was a tank in the snow with nice factory tires and traction control, but the Yaris needs traction control to make it add up to the Focus. Who would think American Made would prove better! I live in Maine and this car is like a hovercraft in snow. There is no traction to speak of and it just lifts at the slightest touch of brakes or gas. Traction Control would help the vehicle, but I don't know how well it would do.
Pros Intelligent Key, 6 disk MP3, bluetooth, Great MPG
Cons Not many colors
Summary I can't believe the editors didn't say anything about the upgrades on the SL.
The base SL comes with a 180W 6 disk mp3 player, with 6 speakers, and steering wheel controls. With a convenience package the intelligent key is added which allows you to get in the car and start it without even taking the key out of your packet. This package also includes bluetooth to make your phone work with the stereo.
The SL with convenience package is definitely not threadbare.
This car has plenty of headroom even for someone over 6' tall. The mileage also improves with the CVT to 30/36.
