Summary: Don't take someguy99's opinion, he probably doesn't even own one. The car is everything I thought it would be. Great power and handling; AWD excellent; feels planted and secure at high speed; fine interior- everything feels nice to the touch, well placed and easy to use; gets lots of looks, questions, and compliments.
Complaints: Handling is not razor sharp; lacks some options for the price.
The S5 is more a sport tourer than sport car. It is made to travel long distances fast, in style and comfort, and as such is near perfect. -

Summary: I purchased this Audi after having had numerous BMW's with two of them being M3s. This folks is the car to own. I have no regrets as the S5 is a mature version of the M3 that I used to have. Interior Quality is impeccable, engine has gut busting torque, and the overall design is just beautiful. I have never had this amount of attention in a car. Granted it's new but does it turn heads with the sleek but masculine profile. Interior amazes me and nothing under $100k comes even close. I am extremely satisfied with everything but one thing... Gas mileage. Its hard to own something that gets less than 20mpg in today's eco-conscious world of Priuses and Hybrids..

Pros: Great ride/handling. Beautiful exterior and interior.
Cons: Couldn't think of any.
Summary: I own an Audi A6 4.2 but saw an S5 driving one day so I decided to go take one for a test spin soon after. The car is drop dead gorgeous in person and a blast to drive. "SomeGuy" is an idiot. Regular maintenance you should expect to pay a little more for because this isn't a ford. Any good automobile in this category you should expect to pay a little more for, like a comparable BMW 6 Series or Mercedes. Pay no attention to someguy. This car is awesome.

Cons: Hard to fault
Summary: The S5 uses Audi's direct injection FSI technology, which has been shown to get 10-20% better economy than non-direct injection.
Everyone seems to complain about the Fuel economy, but this is an Engine thats pumping out 354HP, and with that power level, 14mpg city is pretty darn good. -

IF I HAVE A EXTRA PASSENGER ILL THROW THEM IN THE HUGE TRUNK NEXT TO MY GOLF BAG , BASKETBALL ,SKIS, ETC LIKE I SAID I HAVE HAD SOME NICE CARS BUT THE S5 IS HYPNOTIZING THE NOSE AND THOSE DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS IN BLACK THUMBS UP ALL OVER THE PLACE THATS IF I CAQN SEE THEM AS I FLOATING BY
