The Bottom Line The 2008 BMW M6 is a car that can only really be appreciated on the track. Its cabin electronics make it suitable for everyday driving, but its fuel economy keeps it from being practical. Performance technology makes the 2011 BMW M3 Coupe a thoroughbred performer, yet it can be optioned with plenty of cabin gadgets. Poor fuel economy limits its daily utility, but we still give the M3 an Editors' Choice Award. The 2008 BMW M3 is a tame lion. It's easy to handle among traffic and urban driving, while ferocious on the track or out in the hills. Its cabin electronics are among the best available. With its robust technology roster, the 2012 BMW 650i makes for a very enjoyable and comfortable car to drive, while providing the latest in convenience through navigation, audio, and iPhone integration. The 2009 Nissan GT-R is a technical tour de force, with evidence of brilliance throughout. We would have a hard time with the GT-R as an everyday driver, but it offers fun and exhilaration at heart-stopping levels.
