"What an overweight joke of a sports coupe"
Pros: Great engine
Cons: Ugly, heavy, ugly.
Summary: The 6 series is considered a joke amongst most true auto enthusiasts. From the "Roseann Barr in a miniskirt" rear end, to the clumsy nose, the 6 is a styling disaster.
When it comes to sporty motoring, weight is the enemy. And the 6 and M6 are heavy, heavy, heavy. While the electronics successfully mask the porkiness for the majority of owners who will only drive the car to the country club, the gizmos can't hide the car's heft if driven in a manner truly befitting a sports car. And the brakes are miserable if one would be so foolish as to try to drive this lard ass on a race track. So failing as a sports car, the car is relegated to "sporty GT". Which would be OK, if that's what you want, if it wasn't such a visual monstrosity. The M5 offers equivalent performance, better utility, and is far cheaper. And the new M3, which I just put through the paces recently, is much more fun than either, at least with a 6 speed. If you do choose a BMW 6 series or a M6, whatever you do, PLEASE keep it under a car cover as much as possible! You owe it to humanity!

Makes me wonder if this reviewer just can't afford this car and decided to bash it so badly. Or is it the car looks better than the reviewer??
