"perfect small car"on by scbertho
Pros mileage, cargo room way fun drive
Cons it will not go 0-60 in 6 seconds sorry cnet
Summary wow what a great car. i got the manual cause its fun drive and saves a lil gas wise. this car handles like you would not believe and the manual feels quick. the response is nice. you get what you get what you need. the sport has a nice radio and set up. if you want a power house gas swilling car that is a small house on wheels this is not your car. if you want a car that will average 33 mpg's (and i mostly city drive) has ample cargo space and can corner better than a vette this is your car.
this is definatley fun drive city with its small size and its high torque in he manual i easily zip through congested traffic.
add on the fact that front and side airbags are standard this is a safe and reliable car. and its a honda.
it has ample space and for tall and big people. i am 6'1 250 and i am comfortable in it.
cnet is the only site i have seen give the fit a less than glowing review and really it makes me wonder if they have any buisness in car reviewing at all.
Pros Smooth ride, excells quite well, seats fold down in several ways, no blind spots, great for all the grandkids and their stuff, cost effecive. I love how all the controls are easy to reach and use. Great for loading anything from a large long ladder to o
Cons Does not preform well with using Ethinol even though the manaul says it does.
Summary For a small family, or a senior like myself it is a great deal for all I need it to be. Lets face it in these hard times I am looking for dependability, great gas miliage and comfort. I believe I have it all.
Pros Haven't had any mechanical issues, Pretty good gas mileage, Tons of interior space for cargo and passengers.
Cons Engine is WAY too small, has NO power, especially on hills, gas mileage goes south in mountainous areas, the transmission is garbage (all too often, 3rd gear will be revving too high, while 4th gear will rev too low and the automatic trans won't know what
Summary Other than being brilliant for hauling cargo and city driving in warmer areas, the car is rubbish. If you want a car that gets good gas mileage, but can also be dependable in snow while being fun to drive, go with a TDI or similar.
Pros the responsive steering, great use of space, good quality interior materials, the configuration options (seats), the radio blasts, you have to set the preset equalizer to maximize your style of music!!! and it's a Honda!!! it will last a long time!!!
Cons I've been a loyal Honda owner (Acura as well) I'm also an aftermarket nut, i'm a little disappointed that there isn't much fan-fair and i don't blame the aftermarket industry, 109 hwp, 105 trq, however you can always make the outside look nice!!!
Summary The agility of the car in highway traffic and the great gas milage (360 miles on a full 10 gal. +/- tank). VTEC on such a small car comes in handy when you want to pass with considerable confidence. I though that this would not be included, but it is. I like the fact of great re-sale value, but more than likely will keep in the family to give to my daughters if they want it. The clutch is smooth and engages without much effort and it is quick to warm the interior on cold days, it's starting to get cold here in the mid-west. The amount of cup holders is great and the configurations of the seats is a super plus! We go to Costco a lot. I'm six feet tall and weight 240 lbs. I fit comfortably in this car with my 6 month old rear-facing child seat, and my front facing child seat behind the passanger seat. Mine is red and it's an 08, i just bought mine October 26, 09Oh yeah, i will agree with some of the other comments about the person in the video. I took away from his review that it could be much more tecky. He seemed to plug IPOD and really not like the radio at all. It is the central point of the cabin, it does have a good radio for an average user ( i listen to progressive house, Incubus, The Doors, Rage Against the Machine and many other beat inspired bands). It has considerable thump and i don't push it past level 30 and the equalizer set to "Grove". If you have the radio set to "off", you get what he described as muddy water. There was no mention of the tire pressure monitoring system and the low tire monitoring system. The safety features of the Fit go without saying, colapsable steering column, front and rea crumple zones, side air bag curtains and drive and passenger air bags, and side impact air bags! I think this is a great and safe car.

Pros I love my honda fit. It gets more than 33mpg on highway. I've gotten up to 38mpg and that was keeping it at 70 to 80mph. I can haul just about anything I want with the folding seats and it does have a bit of pick up to it, just get the manual trans.
Cons It isn't the fastest accelerating car, it is pretty quick compared to some of the other honda's out there, and if you mod the engine the car is light enough to compensate for the lack of HP.
Summary I love my honda fit, and I keep seeing more and more of these cars on the road every day. This article missed alot of the fits key features and also honda is obviously doing something right when they can't even keep this car on the show room floor. Another note, all you need to get is an 1/8" to 1/8" adapter for your iPod or any other MP3 player. This is a really good car compared to some of the other ones out there, especially for the price, but if I could pick between the '08 and the '09 fit, I would go with the '09, but I am very happy with my '08 fit.
