"CNet is great for technology reviews, but cars...."
5.0 starson by pillsburydoughboy26Pros: Amazing 9.5k RPM redline...and it roars beautifully.
Handling unmatched.
Beautiful design inside and out.
Four comfortable seats.
Shifts wonderfully.Cons: Resale value is kinda low, but good for you buyers if you buy used!
Yes, low gas mileage in its class but IT IS A SPORTS CAR.
This shouldn't be a con, but most people don't maintain their cars and it still runs. You need to check oil often...Summary: CNet gives a good overview of the car, but they are judging it for lacking navigation options? They deducted score on the 2005 model for lacking blue tooth? This is a DRIVER's car. Pure high-revving spirit. If you want blue-tooth crap or a rear view camera, buy a luxury car, this is not for you. High maintenence, relatively low fuel economy, but its a SPORTS CAR. Its meant to dance, not gun down a straight quarer mile, which is only a 7 second car. But any mountain road, any national park road or winding turns, this car will outsprint anything out there. And this car will feel faster than you'll ever need once you get the RPMs going, which is one of the greatest pleasures of driving. Plus its uncanny handling.
If you want technology or luxury, buy an Escalade.
If you want mind-numbing acceleration off the line, buy something else.
If you don't like to maintain your car, check oil regularly (this car is very reliable, but unlike some cars, if you don't take care of it like change oil when you're supposed to like most Americans, then this car will suffer), look elsewhere.
If you drive for the spirit of driving, want to feel the road, rev the hell out of the car, slide through turns like butter, with the practicality of four doors, then this car is for you :D.
