Pros Pretty much everything.
Cons Navigation system still somewhat difficult to use. I wish Mercedes would use a touch screen. Not a big fan of the touch gear changer.
Summary I recently traded in my SL550 for the 2009 CL550. Talk about going in different directions. I could not be happier with my decision. Although I miss the Roadster, the CL has just blown me away. The looks are striking, and this car seems to turn heads everywhere it goes. Unlike most luxury cars that drive well, this car still wants to be driven. From the moment you get in, fire up the massage seats and throw it in drive, the experience begins. This car does not want for power either. It is fast. Almost too fast at times. I find I am constantly looking at the speedometer and almost always speeding. That's bad but you just don't feel the road. You don't hear it either as the glass is dual laminated. I can't say enough good things about this car. I had test driven several vehicles from the 7 Series, to the A8, and even an Aston Martin DB9. Now the Aston did beat out the CL but it was also an additional 70K. As mentioned in the cons section, I still feel Mercedes is missing the boat on the Navigation system. It works well, and understands voice commands but the fact that you need to spell the street names is a problem for me. This problem has been addressed in some other Benz models. I recently tested a 2009 CLS63. The Navigation on this car let you just say the street name in full. Then it came up. Nice and easy. OK, enough of the negatives. So far, this is my only complaint.
Too many features to list and all of them very handy. If you are looking for just a classy, well made luxury vehicle, look no further. The CL is just an amazing car and you won't ever have to worry about seeing another one on the road. They are pretty rare. I like it!
