Pros: visibility, driving position, braking, safety, interior fit and finish, fuel economy, information displays

Cons: APPEARANCE, clumsy handling/agility, acceleration, road/wind noise, ride quality on the firmer side

Summary: Overall, this car makes a great commuter car. You will get 50+ mpg if you keep your eye on the gas meter/information displays as you walk around. Unfortunately, the car is ugly as heck, and in order to get the 50 mpg numbers that everyone talks about you have to accelerate slower than molasses. Also, for a car that rides on the firmer side, you would expect it to be very agile and nimble. Try any quick moves on the highway, and you will find that the chassis feels very clumsy and on the verge of instability, probably due to the torsion beam rear suspension. However, this is probably the only hybrid car that actually makes sense to buy--the gas mileage combined with the low purchase price make it a great deal.
