"Why do computer tech geeks even bother with car reviews" on by Dr_Mario_PharmD

Pros: 1. Light powerful 5.0L V8 engine with incredible power.
    2. Awesome muscle car look. It looks like a fast and powerful car.
    3. All performance features can be purchased for around $33,000. Fastest car under $40,000.
    4. Great transmission with a reasonabl

Cons: 1. As good as the live axle is, I am curious what Ford could do with independent rear suspension.
    2. Summer tires are great for some areas, but I would end up in a snow bank where I live.

Summary: Here is a great muscle car that delivers the best performance for the price and all the reviewer can say is the gas mileage is not that good and the transmission throw is too short. First of all, the gas mileage is good for a muscle car and superior to most products in the same category. Maybe this reviewer should stick with the Smart Car for Two. Second, "Car and Driver" "Lightning Lap 2011" specifically praises the throw distance and says "The GT's shifter-unlike the GT500's-is never too quick, never induces grinding, and is light enough in hand that missing a shift is a rare event."

Third, why was the audio system such a large section of your review? For a Mustang review that failed to complete any performance tests, it went into large detail about the audio quality.

Why the 3.5/5.0 for a muscle car that looks great and delivers excellent performance? If the answer is it does not get 45mpg and the audio system is not perfect, you should not be reviewing performance cars.

My Pros list was too long was was cut off.
    Pros 4-7
    4. Great transmission with a reasonable throw.
What does he mean too short? Have you ever driven a sports or muscle car before?
    5. Brambro Brakes.
    6. 0-60 4.3-4.4 with one foot roll out (about 4.8 without), quarter mile in 12.7-12.8 and 0.94-0.97 g on skid pad.
    7. Reliability of the Ford Mustang is almost equal to the Honda Accord or Toyota Corolla. Here is a muscle car that can be used as a reliable daily driver.

"Glad I came back to Ford!" on by DaDukster

Pros: Wicked power, the glorious sound that new 5.0 makes, the Shaker 500 sound system, the color changing gauge and interior lights, the modernized classic look, the sequential turn-signal tail lights, the perfect antidote for the mid-life crisis,...

Cons: The six-speed auto could use better manual selection and quicker response to full throttle input, no bluetooth music streaming info, have to cancel cruise with brake pedal, can't change color of lights for HVAC, radio and window/lock controls.

Summary: I've owned an '09 Charger SRT8, an '10 Challenger SRT8, and had an '11 Camaro SS for a 2-day test drive, but none of them is near as fun to drive as the '11 Stang! It is every bit as easy to power drift through a turn as a BMW 325is. You better be on your game when you try that with the heavier Camaro and 2-ton Challenger!

Gas mileage is fantastic, too! So far I've seen a best of 25mpg on the highway and a worst of 18mpg around town. Overall, I'm averaging 20-22mpg and that's with the occasional full throttle blast.

The last Stang I had was a new '86 GT, so maybe my perspective is a little distorted, but I'm real happy now that I came back!

    "98% perfect." on by scottyrob

Pros: Coyote 5.0L motor is a true gem
    0-60 is actually between 4.0-4.4
Great styling both in and out
    MPG for a performance vehicle
    Classic exhaust burble
    Great brakes
Great handling despite solid rear axle

Cons: Handling and ride would be greater if it had an independent rear suspension
The fact that I'm a GM fan and would take this over the Camaro any day

Summary: The best performance car you can get for around $30,000.00 by far. This car is amazing in the way it performs and it shows that Ford pulled out all the stops for this. And if that's not enough there's always the 302 Boss. Now if Ford just ads an independent rear then this car would be perfect.

"Amazing bang per buck!" on by P90XVet

Pros: Horsepower, comfortability, MPG isnt too bad

Cons: if only it got 30 mpg. lol

Summary: Ive had the 5.0 for almost 1 year and with no regrets! Amazing horsepower. 0-60: 4.4s which is the exact same time as the BMW M3. The cloth seats are really comfortable and the interior feels very nice and spacious. I would recommend a Mustang to anyone!

"FORD- pony car kings" on by eeemang

Pros: Not over priced like the German cars

Cons: impossible rear seat for adults

Summary: CNET always concentrates on the electronics as well as the mechanicals in their car reviews.
That is the nature of CNET car reviews.

It is good to see that we Americans again have Mustang vs Camaro vs Challeger debates to argue about!
