"I think you get a lot for the money"
5.0 starson by mattyygPros: Fun to drive, good on gas, Auto Stop
Cons: No option of rear seat. IMA could use a little more power
Summary: I think the reviewers are a little too harsh on this car. I've put about 1200 miles on mine and so far it seems to just get better with every tank fill up. I've been able to get well over what the EPA suggests you will get in this car. I bought it for it's economical features mostly so I use it mostly in Normal or Econ mode and have averaged 43 mpg combined. (That's with an occasional Sport mode here and there) I've also noticed on my current tank that it's hanging in the 55 mpg range when crusing at 45-50 mph.
I did not buy this car to drive fast, nor is it. It is more of a spirited ride and has plenty of freeway merging power. If you need to make a fast break, hit sport mode, go. If you're on the highway, hit Econ, cruise and watch mpg-o-meter rise up.
Overall I'm happy with the car, it's saving me a ton in gas with the amount I drive. If you need to save money in gas, want to have a fun to drive car, and can deal 2 seats. Ask yourself this, is there another hybrid with navigation for 23k? Final thoughts, get the manual transmission, CVT's are not fun.
