"Great car at a great price!!!"
on by plknj2000Pros Styling, fuel economy, instrumentation, comfort, blue tooth for the iPhone... and it's a Lexus for $32,000!!!
Cons My commute is 100 miles a day minimum... would have liked the tank to hold a couple more gallons.
Summary Traded in my VW TDi for this... I get 44 to 46 mpg with the CT vs 38 to 40 with the VW. Gone from diesel to regular and maintenance is over $200 less every 10,000 miles. Have had a Camry Hybrid... this car gets better gas mileage and again I am in a Lexus!!!
If you want a peppy car this is not for you, but then do not buy a hybrid. We love the styling and the electronics. A pleasure to drive and it handles great! Was thinking of the new Passat or the Sonata... the price is equivalent but we love the styling and looks. -
"Great mix of economy, quality, handling, luxury, safety"
on by jeffsimpPros Versatile layout, excellent handling, proven hybrid technology, love being able to stream Pandora from my Atrix through the Bluetooth audio, great Lexus service, cabin layout, quality materials, unique look, low price for a premium brand, 10k mile oil cha
Cons would be willing to give up a few mpg for a little more power (CT250h maybe?), would like manual transmission ( I know, not likely in a Lexus), when you have the universal device holder in place it blocks tuning knob on sound system and heated seat contro
Summary I've always been impressed by Lexus standards of quality and durability, but this is the first one to push enough of my buttons to make me buy it. I love the fact it blends economy and good handling. It is not as focused on performance as a BMW or as economical as a Prius, but I feel like it is an outstanding compromise. I bought the premium model with a sunroof and heated seats, but no other major options. The Nuluxe synthetic leather looks and feels great and I believe will wear better than real leather. I'm not the most environmentally conscious guy around, but I like the fact Lexus is using some plant-based plastics that are more Earth friendly. Any car made is a compromise in one way or another, and I feel Lexus put a good mix together.
