    Pros: Active Suspension?

    Cons: Active Suspension?

Summary: Can you please tell me where you heard that active suspension "presses" the wheels back down tothe road. Active suspension helps to retard the movement of the wheels or even move the wheels, or control the damping rates - and control the lean rates of cars by effecting roll bars - but when I google it, it seems only two CNET reviews of very recent BMW's state that the BMW Active Suspension "PUSHES" the wheels back down on the road..and I don't know this to be correct..

The suspension system on the 650i is a semi active suspension system, meaning it can alter the damping rates and spring rates of the shock-absorber units. it does not however have the ability to produce a force input into the suspension system - which would make it an active system.
